I'm really sick of Frank Miller getting a hold of good properties and putting his dreary stamp all over them. I'll never forgive him for the mess he made of Batman in the 80s, and now he has to screw up The Spirit. I haven't seen it, so I can't judge in any detail, but I'm already put off by the Sin City visual style. Will Eisner had a distinct drawing style which should be rendered on screen. Making the Spirit look like Sin City is sacrilege, in my opinion. I'm sure Miller means no disrespect, but he can't help himself. Everything he does is the same. He's been beating the same tired drum for almost 30 years and it's beyond old. If he wants to screw up his own original material, so be it, but leave other people's characters alone!
